The favorites have plenty of fans this week. They do not have a monopoly on the money.
Denver, Tennessee, and Tampa Bay are attracting the majority of the spread handle in their respective matchups. Meanwhile, several heavily backed favorites present a separate question for bettors and traders: how much are you willing to pay to get involved?
The CLEATZ NFL public betting tracker puts those decisions in one place, combining betting splits with game lines and prediction-market price comparisons.
Here is what stands out—and how to use it before placing a wager.
Analysis and embedded data reflect the September 30 snapshot. Follow the linked CLEATZ tools for updated percentages and prices.
The Underdogs Are Definitely Getting Some Action
Denver, Tennessee and Tampa Bay all appear among the leading selections by spread-handle share. They offer three different versions of the same proposition: the favorite can win without covering.
The distinction matters. These bets do not require a parade in Nashville or an upset celebration in Denver. They require the underdog to stay within its allowance.
Handle also needs context. It measures dollars wagered in the tracked market, not the number of bettors, and it does not identify professional action. A large percentage earns a closer look; it does not finish the research.
Denver – Protect the Field Goal
For Broncos backers, the important detail is the three.
At +3, a three-point loss returns the stake. At +2.5, it loses. That half-point can change the result even when your assessment of the matchup is otherwise correct.
Watch whether Denver’s support translates into a shorter spread or a higher price at the same number. Those are different ways the market can make the next wager less attractive.
The NFL lines comparison helps you shop available numbers, while the NFL odds movers helps you track changes.
If you are considering Novig as part of that comparison, our Novig promo code guide explains its welcome offer and sign-up requirements. Start with the actual game price, then assess the offer separately.
Tennessee and Tampa: Different Decisions
Tennessee’s double-digit spread gives bettors room for a loss that still covers. The question is whether that allowance adequately reflects the matchup—not whether the Titans are likely to win outright.
Tampa Bay’s appeal is more directly tied to the field goal. At +3.5, a three-point defeat still cashes. At +3, it becomes a push.
In both cases, avoid treating Wednesday’s handle share as permission to take whatever number remains Sunday. Earlier bettors may have received a different spread or price.
Use the NFL injury report to check whether availability changes the matchup before deciding the current cushion is enough.
The Favorites Still Have a Following
This is hardly a market-wide revolt against favorites. Arizona, Seattle, the Rams and Buffalo are all drawing heavily tilted spread money.
There is no automatic betting instruction hidden in those percentages.
A popular favorite can still be fairly priced. A less popular underdog can still be a bad bet. Blindly fading the crowd gives the crowd just as much control over your decision as blindly following it.
The useful exercise is to compare your assessment with the number available now. If you like Buffalo, for example, be clear about how your decision changes if the spread moves from below a touchdown to a full seven.
The team you prefer may stay the same. The wager you are willing to make should remain price-dependent.
Totals Add Another Layer to the Week 4 Story
Denver vs. San Francisco attracts the strongest over-handle share in this snapshot. New England vs. Buffalo stands out in the opposite direction, with money concentrated on the under.
It is tempting to combine those observations into a tidy game script. Denver covers in a shootout. Buffalo handles business in a lower-scoring game.
Those outcomes are possible, but the percentages do not establish that the same bettors are backing both positions. Spread and total markets need to be evaluated separately.
Before following either trend, check the current total against its earlier number. A convincing argument for an over becomes less attractive as the scoring requirement rises.
Weather belongs in that assessment, too. Use the NFL weather report alongside line movement, particularly before wagering on outdoor games or passing-related props.
Prediction Markets: Picking the winner is only half the job
For traders and moneyline bettors, the “Compare Win Prices” section asks a practical question: what does it cost to back the same outcome on different platforms?
The table expresses quotes as an equivalent cost per $1 payout, before fees.
Seattle and Buffalo illustrate why shopping matters. A small difference in the displayed price can add up across a larger position.
But the lowest number on a comparison board is only the starting point. Check the executable quote, available size, transaction costs and settlement rules before deciding one platform offers better value.
If you are opening an account, our Polymarket promo code guide and Kalshi promo code guide explain welcome-offer requirements and signup details. You can also compare platform features in our best prediction market apps guide.
An attractive welcome offer can be useful. It does not turn an overpriced position into a good trade.
Check the Timeframe Before Interpreting a Move
The win-price comparison distinguishes movement since CLEATZ’s first recorded quote from movement over the previous 24 hours.
Kansas City illustrates the difference: its highlighted Novig quote is lower than the first recorded price but slightly higher over the latest 24-hour window.
Both statements can be true. A team can become cheaper over a longer period and then rebound.
Also, “first recorded” means CLEATZ’s first saved quote—not necessarily the platform’s market opener. That distinction keeps a useful price history from turning into an overstated claim about where the market began.
What I’m watching Before Kickoff
① Do the underdog numbers hold? Denver’s full field goal and Tampa Bay’s extra half-point are worth monitoring.
② Does the money move the price? Compare changes in handle with changes in the spread and odds.
③ Does new information change the matchup? Injuries and weather can matter more than a Wednesday percentage.
④ Can traders actually execute at the displayed quote? Check costs and available size before counting a price advantage.
The Week 4 board gives bettors several underdogs worth investigating and traders several prices worth comparing.
