Seattle Has the Spread Money. Chicago Has the Upset Dollars.
Bears at Seahawks • Monday, November 2, 2026
8:15 p.m. ET • Lumen Field • ESPN
The 5-2 Bears visit the 4-3 Seahawks in a matchup with more going on than the standings suggest. Seattle is the home favorite, two major additions could change the battle up front, and the betting sample points in different directions depending on the market.
Seattle attracts most of the spread dollars. Chicago attracts most of the moneyline dollars. Neither observation settles the handicap. For a bettor considering the Bears, the first decision is whether the available price includes the half-point above a field goal.
Use the NFL lines board to compare both the spread and its cost. Our Chicago lean is conditional, and the current quotes do not meet its price limit.

Public Betting: Different Markets, Different Backing
| Displayed selection | Bets | Handle |
|---|---|---|
| Seahawks -3 | 51% | 71% |
| Bears +3 | 49% | 29% |
| Over 46.5 | 60% | 71% |
| Under 46.5 | 40% | 29% |
| Seahawks moneyline | 61% | 37% |
| Bears moneyline | 39% | 63% |
Latest percentages displayed when checked Saturday. The page also shows a pending label and no split-update timestamp, so freshness cannot be confirmed. Shares describe the tracked sample.
The public betting tracker shows almost even spread tickets, but a clear dollar advantage for Seattle. Chicago’s outright wagers show the opposite pattern: fewer tickets, more dollars. Each gap implies larger average wagers within that particular sample, not proof that professional bettors agree on a side.
The percentages also have different denominators. Chicago’s moneyline handle share cannot be compared with Seattle’s spread share to determine which team has more total dollars across all markets.
New Faces: Simmons and Nelson Change the Interior Matchup
Chicago acquired Jeffery Simmons from Tennessee this week. Seattle has added Quenton Nelson, with its team coverage detailing Grey Zabel’s move to right guard.
That creates a compelling matchup if Simmons is ready for a meaningful role Monday. Interior pressure can prevent Sam Darnold from stepping into throws, while improved protection can give Seattle time to attack Chicago’s coverage. A trade announcement alone does not establish how many snaps a newcomer will play or how smoothly the unit will communicate.
For Chicago, the offensive challenge is keeping Caleb Williams out of long-yardage situations. Extended dropbacks give the defense more opportunities to disrupt a drive; efficient early-down plays would let the Bears stay competitive without needing a string of difficult conversions.
Injuries: Cross, Shaheed and Loveland Need Another Check
The official Friday practice report lists Charles Cross, Rashid Shaheed and Uchenna Nwosu as non-participants for a second straight day. Anthony Bradford also missed Friday, while Zach Charbonnet and Byron Murphy II were limited. Leonard Williams and Nelson practiced fully.
Chicago listed Kyle Monangai and D’Marco Jackson as non-participants. Colston Loveland was added as limited with a neck injury; T.J. Edwards and Jack Sanborn practiced fully. These are practice updates, not the final game-status report.
Loveland’s situation deserves attention because Cole Kmet is already on injured reserve. Losing another tight end would affect Chicago’s options underneath and its personnel packages. Seattle’s tackle and receiver questions matter for both protection and downfield passing.
Recheck the NFL injury report after Saturday’s final designations and again when Monday’s inactives arrive.
CLEATZ Pick Watch: Bears +3.5 at -115 or Better
Conditional lean: Chicago +3.5, with a maximum price of -115. The displayed Novig -117 does not qualify, and the sportsbook +3 quotes do not meet the number requirement. There is no qualifying bet in this snapshot.
Matchup requirements: Wait for Loveland to be cleared and confirmation that Simmons will be available. If Cross and Shaheed are both cleared without restrictions, reassess the Seattle matchup before using this lean.
Why Chicago: Potential pressure from the upgraded front gives the Bears a route to disrupting Seattle’s offense, particularly if its protection remains shorthanded. The extra half-point makes a three-point defeat a win rather than a push.
Main risk: Seattle’s protection holds up, its defense forces Williams into difficult downs, and Chicago cannot sustain enough possessions. This is a price-specific editorial lean, not a model-derived edge.
Total and Props: Availability Comes Before the Over
I would pass on the total for now. The over’s majority handle is useful context, but it does not resolve the uncertainty around Seattle’s receivers, Chicago’s tight ends or either team’s protection.
The forecast is approximately 49 degrees with 2 mph wind. That offers little weather-only reason to take an under; check the NFL weather report again Monday.
Darnold’s passing-yard thresholds sit at 237.5–238.5 across the displayed sportsbooks. A different platform’s 249.5 line is not automatically a better deal without comparing the attached price and payout structure.
Use the passing, rushing and receiving comparisons after the final report. The odds and prop movers help identify changed thresholds, but a move alone does not establish a new betting edge. I would not force a second pick here.
For Traders: Compare Win Prices Separately
The displayed prediction-market estimates put Seattle around 60–61% to win. A 60-cent contract returning $1 on a win is equivalent to -150 before fees; 61 cents is approximately -156. Those are comparison tools, not independent win forecasts.
Check the executable ask, liquidity, fees and settlement terms before comparing a contract with a sportsbook moneyline. Neither win price directly tells you whether laying three points is attractive.
